Roger has been employed as an engineer for over 30 years, initially in a mechanical discipline before joining the Armed Forces as a Royal Engineer. Following his 8 years service he took a role as a mechanical fabricator working on many bespoke designs out of various materials and using varied machines. He was promoted within the company to eventually manage the team producing bespoke designed products.
RG Engineering Consultants Limited was formed to support clients in the nuclear industry. This type of confidential and safety heightened work has provided many more aspects to the experience and knowledge this company can offer.
As an Engineering Lead Designer responsible for the technical approval of all schemes involving Engineering input and support to national nuclear projects. Overseeing projects from cradle to grave including conceptual designs, submitted calculations, prototyping to training, installation & commissioning.
As a degree qualified Civil & Structural Engineer (BEng with Honours) Roger has many previous years within the construction industry.
Specialist fields of design are temporary works including modular scaffolding systems & temporary roof designs using the latest European wind design codes. The Company also has a clear understanding of the commercial aspects of product design hence the successful returns on products that this Company has been involved with. Roger has also successfully patented (UK & World Wide) products on behalf of Clients including innovating product designs which have been commercially successful in the market it was intended.

Supporting the local community.
RG Engineering has contributed to the local community by sponsoring a local grass roots football team. Salford Storm U9 Hurricanes home ground at Stott Lane adjacent to Salford Royal Hospital, the old Salford Hope Hospital.
They are a mixed team of boys and girls and play in recognised FA League, the Salford & Districts Football league. RG Engineering has been the proud sponsor of U9 Hurricanes since 2021 and is hoping to see them win the Salford & Districts Football League Cup final taking place at the end of May.
